Katie Abey is an illustrator human who lives in a teeny hobbit-like house in Derbyshire with a cat, a hedgehog and a husband. Her work provides illustrative doses of happiness and motivation along with a little dash of sarcasm. She is a big lover of animals and her work often features creatures looking slightly nonchalant, perturbed or even a bit deranged. She likes using a lot of colour in her work and this love of colour is reflected in her brightly coloured studio space and her hair, which frequently changes colour to match its surroundings.

As with all Gibsons jigsaws, they use 100% recycled puzzle board, FSC paper and commission the best artists from all around the world. The beautifully illustrated pieces are designed to fit perfectly together, in fact, they use the thickest puzzle board on the market.

Gibson’s have made some positive changes to their processes, so you can be sure youre getting the same great puzzles and know they are kinder to the environment. Not only does the box have a fresh new look, but they have used recyclable clear labels to secure the lid instead of shrink wrap, reducing plastic waste. They use vegetable-based inks too. The gloss coating on the box gives extra protection and the puzzle pieces are stored in a plastic bag that can be recycled by most councils.

Because the box is slightly smaller than previous designs, less room is needed to transport the puzzles, which reduces the carbon footprint and means you can store your puzzles more easily. There is also an artwork poster inside for you to reference whilst you piece together your lovely jigsaw puzzle.
